If you've looked at my About Page, you already know that I have Vitiligo, a very visible skin condition. What you don't know is just how solitary my journey has been. I've had Vitiligo since I was three years old and I was ten before I ever saw another person who looked like me and it would be several more years before it happened again. Being a tribe of one is very isolating.

That changed in 2023 on World Vitiligo Day when I had the privilege of meeting these two beautiful souls. The World Vitiligo Conference was being held in Atlanta and Brittany and Shazaad made time to stop by my studio while they were in town.

Meeting them both was like meeting long-lost family and I cherish this memory dearly. I am not alone and if you have Vitiligo, neither are you.
