Last-Minute Tips
FOR A SMOOTH SHOOT DAY
A quick reference guide so you come to your shoot feeling confident, prepared, and ready for an amazing session.
These are general tips, and everything won't apply to you, but there may be a tip (or two) here that really makes a difference.

TIP #1
Eat Well & Loosen Up
Don’t starve yourself. Photo shoots are physical work; you need the proper fuel. If it's part of your routine, I recommend yoga, stretching, and even massage to support relaxation and posture.
TIP #2

Diet Do's And Don'ts
Avoid ingesting items that cause oily skin, blemishes, or swelling: red meat, alcohol, caffeine, fried foods, and any other foods you're sensitive to. Also, be sure to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
TIP #3
Exfoliate & Moisturize
Moisturize all week - so your skin is supple and soft. Pack your favorite body moisturizer for dry skin on the big day. This simple step is one of the most important things to remember.
TIP #4

Don't Forget The Details
Get a fresh mani/pedi, and groom any body hair that needs it. Facials, hair coloring, waxing, and tanning should be done at least a week before to ensure you have no adverse reaction to them.

TIP #1
Set A Leisurely Pace
Don’t plan other obligations directly before or after your session if possible. This is a special event; an experience. Make it your priority. Make YOU the priority. Let your focus be YOU.
TIP #2

Don't Skip Eating
Eat light but eat well! You will look better, be more focused, and have more energy throughout the shoot. Feel free to bring snacks, but not colored items that stain teeth/mouth.
TIP #3
Do One Last Check
Do a final inventory of your wardrobe, shoes, accessories, and props before heading to our session. One final run-through of everything can save you from forgetting an important item.
TIP #4

Arrive Ready To Party
No shoot day is without a few hiccups. We aren't looking for perfection. We're looking for magic! There's magic in the messiness of life. Let's turn up the music and find it! Let's have some fun!
If My Glam Team
is doing your makeup/grooming
Please come with your face clean, product-free (other than moisturizer), and ready to be glamorized.
When it comes to your body, always remember to shave everything that needs shaving and to moisturize all visible areas of your skin.
If You Are
doing your own makeup/grooming
Please arrive with your makeup/grooming completely ready. It's always great to have blotting paper or translucent powder (for face shine) as well as eyeshadow/lipstick changes if you're shooting more than one look. *I always recommend opting for Pro Makeup.
