Do's And Don'ts
FOR A SMOOTH SHOOT DAY
A quick reference guide so you come to your shoot feeling confident, prepared, and ready for an amazing session.
These are general tips, and everything won't apply to you, but there may be a tip (or two) here that really makes a difference.
TIP #1
DO: Go With Your Favorites
Go with your FAVs. Choose one of your favorite hairstyles, get a fresh mani/pedi just the way you like it, bring your favorite perfume and playlist. And your favorite coffee, snacks, or bottle of bubbly always adds to the vibe!
TIP #2

DON'T: Go With An Impulse
This isn't the time for any dramatic changes that you haven't tried in the past or aren't 100% sure of. You want to step in front of the camera as your boldest self, true. But also as your TRUEST self, not a momentary mood.
TIP #3
Say YES To:
Facials, hair coloring, and tanning, done at least a week before your shoot, to ensure you have no adverse reaction to them.
TIP #4

Say NO To:
No waxing at least five days before your session, to avoid redness or irritation. No spray tans. They turn orange in photos and stain things badly.

TIP #1
Set A Leisurely Pace
Don’t plan other obligations directly before or after your session if possible. This is a special event; an experience. Make it your priority. Make YOU the priority. Let your focus be YOU.
TIP #2

Don't Skip Eating
Eat light but eat well! You will look better, be more focused, and have more energy throughout the shoot. Feel free to bring snacks, but not colored items that stain teeth/mouth.
TIP #3
Do One Last Check
Do a final inventory of your wardrobe, shoes, accessories, and props before heading to our session. One final run-through of everything can save you from forgetting an important item.
TIP #4

Arrive Ready To Party
No shoot day is without a few hiccups. We aren't looking for perfection. We're looking for magic! There's magic in the messiness of life. Let's turn up the music and find it! Let's have some fun!
